Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu Airport
- Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this historic and vibrant city.

Day 2 - Kathmandu Sightseeing
- After breakfast, we will depart the hotel for a full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the “city of glory.” We will visit Durbar (Palace) Square, the epicentre of religious and cultural life, an area filled with old temples and historical significance with old glorious Newari architecture. Some of the sights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap and Kumari Ghar; home to the Living Goddess.
- Afterwards, we will go to Swoyambhunath Stupa, said to be one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, which is majestically set high on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley.
- We will proceed toward Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This massive temple complex sits alongside the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the courtyard of the temple, whereas tourists can see the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River.
- Later, proceed to Boudhanath, a Buddhist Stupa said to be one of the largest in the world. This massive structure stands tall with four pairs of eyes each facing the four cardinal directions, watching for the righteous behaviour of mankind and for human prosperity.

Day 3 - Dhap Bazaar
- On the day, we will leave Kathmandu early in the morning and drive on the newly inaugurated B. P. highway to the little town of Ghurmi in the Koshi River basin. From Ghurmi, the road leads to the higher elevation passing through the Rhododendron forest to Dhap Bazaar.
- Spend the night in a guest house and explore the town.

Day 4 - Dhap Bazaar - Jhapre
- Early morning walk for 25 minutes to the viewpoint for sunrise and mountain views, we can view Dughkunda, Mera Peak, Lhotse, Cho Yo, and Everest, where there is a temple for both Hinduism and Buddhism. After enjoying the magnificent views, we can eat breakfast and prepare for the Jhapre walk.
- We will follow the road. However, we hardly see any vehicles. We can skip the road for about 40%.
- After two hours of gradual/gentle downhill walk through the rhododendron and pine forest, we can stop at the first village, Siganay for a short tea break.
- Then, continue for three more hours uphill, and a gentle walk reaches our destination, Jhapra. It is a small settlement of Sherpa and Magar ethnic groups. It has a monastery attached to the guesthouse. We can enjoy sunrise and mountain views (Dudhkunda, Pongday, Makalu, Mera Peak, Cho Yu, Everest, Tsumsherko, and Kanchanjunga range).

Day 5 - Jhapre - Pikey Base Camp
- After enjoying the sunrise and mountain view and breakfast, we can start the trek for 2.5 hrs gradual uphill through rhododendrons and pine forests and take us to Bulbule, where we can have a short break for tea. Then 45 minutes of gradual uphill and gentle walking can reach Lamachay village, where we can stop for lunch.
- After crossing the stupa further zigzag steep climb for an hour through the rhododendron and pine forest, then gentle and gradual uphill, we reach our destination, Pikey B. C. There are only 4 households. It is interesting to visit a cheese factory.
- We can view the sunset and can view Langtang Peak, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Annapurna mountains.

Day 6 - Pikey Base Camp – Junbesi
- On the day, we will reach the highest point of our trek. Climb along the rocky ridge to the Pikey peak (4,065 m). The top unveils a wide range of snow peaks from Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the west. The highlight is the view of Mt Everest, Thamsherku, Numbur Himal, and Kangtega.
- From the apex, climb down to Lamjura Pass and further to Junbesi. The day's walk is one of the best with the alpine landscape, Himalayan view, and the Buddhist landmarks of Mane walls and Stupas.
- Visit the local monastery at Junbesi.

Day 7- Junbesi – Taksindu
- This morning, I hit the trail bound for Taksindu. Cross the river at the bottom of town and climb through the forest up to Salung, from where there are views of Mount Everest (8848 m/ 29,028 ft), Chamlang (7319 m/ 2,4012 ft), and Makalu (8481 m/ 27,824 ft), weather permitting. There are also gorgeous views across the valley to Chiwong Monastery and down towards Phaplu.
- Continue on the trail, contouring and then dropping down to a stream before a short climb into Ringmo, famous for its apple orchards and interesting apple products such as apple rakshi (alcohol), cider, and apple pie.
- From here, there’s a final short climb to Taksindu La, where there are again great mountain views, and then a short descent to the Taksindu Monastery and your lodge. The Taksindu Monastery was built in 1946 and is usually open early morning or late afternoon. Please make sure to leave a donation if you visit.

Day 8 - Taksindu – Phaplu
- The trail from Junbesi descends the Junbesi River and crosses the suspension bridge to the town of Benighat at the confluence. The day’s scenic walking continues, unveiling a new vista and an opportunity for cultural immersion.

Day 9 - Phaplu - Kathmandu
- The 35-minute flight back to Kathmandu and drop at the hotel. This leisure day can be utilized for buying gifts and souvenirs for your friends and family. In the evening, you will be invited to join the farewell review of great photos and share experiences of the trip.

- If you prefer to stay longer, you can consult us for short tours such as game drives at National parks, rafting, mountain biking, Tibet, India, or Bhutan tours.
