2-Day Charyn Canyon and Kolsay Lakes Tour with Kaindy Lake

We start from Almaty. I will pick you up at your hotel, and we will drive 200 km to Charyn Canyon. On the way, we stop at a roadside bazaar to buy some local food for a picnic near the Charyn River.

Once we get to the canyon, we trek for 1 hour down to the Charyn River and have a picnic by the river. After that, we have a short rest and go back either by taxi or by hiking.

Then we drive to Kolsay Lake, take a short hike, and check in to a guest house.

We get up early and, after breakfast, take a 2-3 hour hike to the magnificent Saty plateau.

Later, we drive to Kaindy Lake by a special 4WD jeep. From the parking area, we go to the lake on horseback. We spend around 2 hours at the lake and return to Saty village by lunchtime.

From there, we go to Kolsay Lake and take a 30-minute to 1-hour boat ride.

After that, we go back to Almaty.
