Attend the Abu Simbel Festivals
- Meet the guide, who will pick you up from your Aswan hotel at midnight and will transfer you to Abu Simbel (the road takes around 4 hours). (Please take your breakfast box with you.)
- Listen to the explanation of the Abu Simbel Sun Festival and celebrate the combination of the Sun Festival and the Human Festival in Abu Simbel. The rays of the sun align on king Ramses II twice per year on 22 October (the day of his birthday) and 22 February (the day of becoming a King and taking the throne) with miraculous astrological unmatched on the earth. The sun aligns in a small room for four statues (Ptah, Amun-Ra, Ramses II, and Ra-Horakhty).
- Enjoy the folkloric shows and Nubian group dancing at the Abu Simbel Sun festival.
- Drive back to your hotel in Aswan around 11 AM. Have a free day thereafter.
