Explore Konya's Spiritual and Architectural Highlights

  • Meet your tour guide, who will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Konya, then proceed to the tomb of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi. Visit the famous Mevlana and Dervishes cultural centre - the Dervish Lodge and the Madrasah, which was formerly used to teach the Quran to children and local people.
  • Walk to the Sems-i Tebrizi Tomb. After visiting the museum, you will have lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Visit the Alaeddin Mosque, one of the most interesting examples of Turkish architecture, with wooden columns that carry the entire building. A graveyard for the sultans is located in the courtyard of this mosque.
  • Continue to the Ince Minareli Medrese, a theological school with its amazing portal gate and one of the best examples of its kind in Turkey.
  • Drive to the village of Sille, which lies just outside the city of Konya and can easily be reached by public transit, such as a city bus or minibus. It is a quaint town full of old homes, Turkish baths, ruinous cave homes, old churches, graveyards, and bridges, centred on a creek that keeps the town green amidst the dry, barren rock of the surrounding countryside.
  • At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
