The itinerary

Day 01

Explore Iguazú National Park on the Argentine Side

  • Meet your tour guide at your hotel in Puerto Iguazú.
  • Arrive at Iguazú National Park in Argentina and get the admission tickets, which are not included.
  • Cover the following main circuits:
    • Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo in Spanish), the main attraction on the Argentine side. An ecological train, included in the admission fee, takes us to Devil's Throat Station, and from there we walk 1 km on a footbridge across the river to reach the main horseshoe of the falls.
    • Upper Circuit, a walk to some beautiful viewpoints along the upper rim of the waterfalls. We stop for a snack or lunch, which is optional.
    • Lower Circuit, a longer walk with stairs at the bottom end of the falls.
  • Return to your hotel.

The entire Argentine side can be seen in about 4-5 hours, depending on your timing and the crowd.

Optional excursions can be added to this tour, such as boat tours.

Day 02

Visit Iguazú National Park on the Brazilian Side

  • Meet your tour guide at your hotel in Puerto Iguazú and complete the customs procedure.
  • Arrive at Iguazú National Park in Brazil and get the admission tickets, which are not included.
  • Take the park bus and get off at the third stop, where the walk starts. We walk on a 1-2 km one-way trail with beautiful panoramic views. Stop for a snack or lunch, which is optional.
  • Return to the hotel.

The entire Brazilian side can be seen in about 2-4 hours, depending on your timing and the crowd.

Optional excursions such as Bird Park, helicopter rides, and boat tours can be added to this tour.

What to bring

  • Comfortable shoes, as we walk.
  • Sunscreen.
  • Hat.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Insect repellent: Iguazú is a subtropical jungle area with mosquitoes and other insects.
  • Clothing: Depending on the weather and the season, it is a good idea to wear light clothes or long sleeves and long pants for additional protection against sunburn and mosquito bites. Bring a bathing suit and/or extra clothes if you go on a boat excursion. Some people also bring a raincoat or waterproof jacket.
  • A waterproof bag to prevent your camera, lens, passport, and any other document or item from getting wet if you decide to go on a boat tour.
