Day 01

Peza Wineries, Olive Oil Tasting, and Archanes Village

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Crete to start the tour.
Explore one of Crete's most famous wine and olive oil regions on a small-group drive through the Peza wineries. At two wineries in the region, you will taste eight authentic Cretan wines, with four tastings at each winery.
Taste the indigenous varieties of Crete, such as Dafni, Kotsifali, Liatiko, Vidiano, Vilana, Thrapsathiri, Pluto, Malvasia di Candia, and Muscat of Spina, as well as local wines made with international varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Learn the secrets of wine, including how it is produced and how it ages.
Discover how to choose a good wine, how to pair and serve it, the proper temperatures, and how to store it.
After visiting the wineries, we will drive to the traditional village of Archanes and enjoy Cretan food in a traditional taverna.
