The itinerary

Day 01

Miraflores Locks, Gatun Lake and Monkey Island

Start with a pick-up from your hotel or another location in Panama City and head to the Panama Canal Visitor Center for a detailed explanation of how the canal works and the famous Miraflores Locks.
Return to the vehicle and drive past Lake Miraflores and the Pedro Miguel Locks as you make your way to the town of Gamboa. Upon reaching the Chagres River, climb aboard for a scenic ride on the human-made Gatun Lake.
Marvel at the scenery surrounding the largest and most important lake in the Panama Canal.
Watch large ships pass through the canal to get a sense of the magnitude of this engineering masterpiece. Arrive at a group of islands to see two different species of monkeys.
Later, head back to Panama City and return to your hotel.

Note: It is important to remember that we are entering the monkeys' natural habitat. The ticket to the Miraflores Visitor Center is included.

Know before you go

Pick-up of travellers is included.
Please note that we go to several hotels, and the pick-up time will be:
- Morning tour: between 6:15 am and 7:00 am
- Afternoon tour: between 12:30 pm and 1:15 pm
For all clients outside the city center, such as Westin Playa Bonita or Dream Playa Bonita, you must meet us at a hotel within the city center, such as Hilton Balboa Avenue. Alternatively, we can come to your place, but we charge an additional fee of US $20 to cover the round-trip transfer for your group (1-14 people).
