Description

Begin with a drive from the nearby town of Arusha to the crater rim to take in the stunning views of the crater floor below. From there, descend into the crater and spend the day on a safari, exploring the different habitats and observing the diverse wildlife that calls the crater home.

Wildlife and Nature Excursion at Ngorongoro Crater
- At 0600 hrs in the morning, be ready for a pick-up from the hotel or from your stay in Arusha town
- The driver guide will collect the picnic lunches and drive 190 km on the tarmac road to the Ngorongoro Conservation entry gate.
- From the gate, drive to the Crater Rim and spend a few minutes for the incredible view of the Crater from the top.
- Descend into the crater floor for a day of game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in Africa. All the Big 5- Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this incredible caldera. Others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena. Birds include flamingos on the Soda lake, Geese, Storks, and Vultures.
- The picnic lunch will be served at the Crater picnic site at Ngoitokok swamp, a Hippo pool.
- After lunch, proceed with afternoon game viewing.
- At 1500 hrs, ascend the Crater and drive back to Arusha.
