Start your day before dawn with a memorable sunrise at Angkor Wat, one of the world’s great architectural masterpieces. With hotel pickup around 5 a.m., your guide and driver take you straight to the temple for those iconic early-morning views, with time for a coffee break or breakfast outside the complex (a hotel breakfast box can be arranged on request).

After exploring Angkor Wat, continue into the walled city of Angkor Thom, pausing at the impressive South Gate and visiting key temples including Bayon and Baphuon, plus sites like Phimeanakas and the Elephant Terrace. After a lunch break in town and a rest during the hottest hours, return in the quieter late afternoon to Ta Prohm, famous for its dramatic tree roots entwined with ancient stonework.

The itinerary

Day 01

Sunrise at Angkor Wat and Temples of Angkor

The tour starts at around 5 a.m. from the hotel lobby. Travellers will be picked up by a professional tour guide and driver to visit Angkor Wat temple for sunrise.
After that, we will go directly to the temple. Then, we can have a coffee break or breakfast in front of the temple. Travellers can request a breakfast box from the hotel.
After Angkor Wat temple, we will continue to Angkor Thom. Along the way, we will stop by the city's South Gate with gigantic guards along the causeway, Bayon temple, Baphuon temple, Phimeanakas temple, and the Elephant Terrace.
Return to city for lunch break in local restaurant. Have after break in hotel during the hottest time of the day.
At the evening during the quiet time of the temple, we will head to Ta Prohm temple, the temple with gigantic roots of trees growing on top.

Angkor's temples are sacred places. Please wear clothing that covers your shoulders and knees when visiting the temples. Comfortable, lightweight clothing is recommended because Cambodia can be hot and humid.
Comfortable Shoes
You will walk quite a lot during the tour, sometimes on uneven stone paths and ancient stairs. Comfortable walking shoes or sandals with a good grip are recommended.
Stay Hydrated
The weather can be hot, especially around midday. Please bring a reusable water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
Sunrise Experience
For sunrise tours, an early hotel pick-up is required, usually around 5:00 AM. Sunrise views depend on weather conditions, so please understand that clouds may affect the visibility of the sunrise.
Respect Local Culture
Angkor's temples remain important religious sites. Please respect local customs, avoid touching or climbing on restricted structures, and follow your guide's instructions.
Photography
Bring your camera or phone to capture the beautiful temples and scenery. Please be respectful when photographing local people, monks, and other visitors.
