Itinerary

1. Day 1- Arrive in Cairo

   • Meet your tour guide upon arrival at Cairo International Airport and check in at your hotel.

   Overnight in Cairo.

2. Day 2- Explore the Pyramids of Sakkara

   • Have breakfast and explore the vast necropolis of Sakkara, containing tombs. The Step Pyramid of Zoser is the most conspicuous landmark of the necropolis. (Optional lunch during tours.)
   • Visit the three Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Transfer to your hotel for the night's stay.

3. Day 3- Witness the Aswan High Dam and the Philae Temple

   • Have breakfast and transfer to Cairo airport to fly to Aswan.
   • Arrive in Aswan and visit the High Dam and Philae Temple. 

   Overnight in Aswan with the opportunity to disembark. Enjoy lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and an evening disco party on board.

4. Day 4- Proceed to the Kom Ombo Temples

   • Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Kom Ombo Temple, the only double temple in Egypt shared by the crocodile-headed God Sobek and the falcon-headed God Haroeris. 
   • Navigate to Edfu and overnight in Edfu.

5. Day 5- See the Luxor and Karnak Temple

   • Visit Edfu Temple, the most well-preserved temple in Egypt, dedicated to the Falcon God Horus.
   • See the fabulous Luxor Temple and the enormous Temple Complex of Karnak. Among its splendours is the Hypostyle Hall, the largest of any temple in the world, covering an area of 5356 sq. meters with its roof blocks supported by 134 colossal columns 70 feet high, Overnight Luxor.

6. Day 6- Visit the Highlights of Luxor

   • Depart with your guide to cross the West Bank of Luxor, where the glorious and fascinating Necropolis of Thebes is located. By no means could this necropolis be covered in one day. 
   • Head to the Valley of the Kings, which contains the tombs of the kings and th El Deir El Bahari Of Hatshepsut, the woman who ruled the country for more than 15 years. There you will see the story of her scary birth from the sun god Ra inscribed on the walls of the temple.
   • See the Colossi of Memnon, 
   • Transfer to Luxor to catch your flight to Cairo.

   Overnight stay in Cairo.

7. Day 7- Arrive in Alexandria

   • Have breakfast around 7 a.m., travel to Alexandria via the desert road, and spend the day breathing in the Mediterranean Sea breeze.
   • Arrive in Alexandria and visit the Catacomb of Kom-el-Shoqafa. These tombs were tunnelled into the bedrock in the age of the Antonin emperors (2nd century A.D.) for a single wealthy family still practising the ancient religion. These tombs represent the last existing major construction for the sake of the old Egyptian religion, then visit the Citadel of Qaitbay. (Optional lunch @ a lovely Sea view restaurant.)
   • Visit Pompey's Pillar, built in 297 AD for the Roman Emperor Diocletian. The Pillar is 9 meters/29 feet in circumference, and it is said that 22 people could lunch in the capital or flat top of the Pillar.
   • Drive back to Cairo and transfer to your hotel.

8. Day 8- Head to the Egyptian Museum and Mohammed Ali Citadel

   • Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, housing over 250,000 objects of art dating as far as 5000 years. The most important display is the TUT-ANKH- AMON collection of treasuries. (Optional lunch during tours.)
   • Head to the Mohammed Ali Citadel, erected in 1183 A.D. The Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali Citadel is one of the landmarks of Cairo whose minaret is spotted from any part of the city.
   • See the Hanging Church and return to your hotel for the night's stay. 

9. Day 9- Departure

   • Have breakfast and transfer to Cairo International Airport to take your flight for final departure.
