Giza Pyramids, Saqqara, and Memphis Discovery
- Meet your tour guide, who will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and begin your tour.
- Visit the Giza Necropolis, where you will find many pyramids and tombs dating back to the 4th Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. The most famous attractions are the pyramids of Cheops, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Chefren, and Mecyrinos. Also see the Valley Temple of King Chefren. Additionally, there is the Great Sphinx, which has the body of a lion and the head of a human. According to Pharaonic beliefs, it guards this great necropolis.
- Go to the Papyrus Museum for shopping. You will also be able to enjoy a horse or camel ride. This is an optional activity that costs an extra fee of 20$ per person.
- Move to Saqqara to discover the Complex of King Djoser, dating back to the 3rd Dynasty. This complex is considered the first complete stone construction in ancient Egypt, and it contains the first pyramid in ancient Egyptian civilization, the Step Pyramid.
- Continue to Memphis, the first capital of united ancient Egypt. King Narmer founded it in 3100 BC. You will also enjoy visiting the Memphis Museum.
- Return to your hotel.
