The itinerary

Day 01

Drive from Islamabad to Naran

  • Pick up from Islamabad and drive to Naran.
  • Stop at Balakot and the Kewai water stream for lunch en route.
  • Arrive in Naran or Batakundi, check in to the hotel, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 02

Journey to Minapin via Babusar Pass

  • After breakfast, drive to Minapin via Babusar Pass.
  • Stop at Lulusar Lake for lunch.
  • Continue the drive to Minapin.
  • Arrive in Minapin, check in, have dinner, and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03

Trek to Rakaposhi Base Camp

  • After breakfast, start the trek towards Hapakun, break for lunch, and continue trekking to Rakaposhi Base Camp (Taghafari).
  • Arrive at Base Camp, set up the camps, and hike up to the viewpoint to enjoy 360-degree views of the snow-capped mountains and the majestic Rakaposhi, Diran Peak, and more.

Day 04

Trek to Kacheli Lake and Diran Base Camp

  • After breakfast, start trekking to Kacheli Lake and Diran Base Camp via the Maani Glacier.
  • Arrive at Kacheli Lake for a lunch break and continue trekking to Diran Base Camp.
  • Arrive, set up the camps, enjoy free time to explore the surrounding places, then have dinner and stay overnight in tents.

Day 05

Return Trek to Rakaposhi Base Camp

  • After breakfast, trek back to Rakaposhi Base Camp or Hapakun.
  • Arrive for lunch and enjoy free time, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in tents.

Day 06

Trek down to Minapin and drive to Gilgit

  • After breakfast, trek back to Minapin Village, load into the bus or car, and drive to Gilgit.
  • Arrive, check in, have dinner, and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 07

Drive from Gilgit to Naran

  • After breakfast, drive to Naran via Babusar Pass, with lunch en route.
  • Arrive in Naran, check in to the hotel, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 08

Return to Islamabad

  • After breakfast, drive to Islamabad, stopping at Balakot or Mansehra for lunch.
  • Continue the drive to Islamabad and drop off at the airport or hotel.
