River Kwai Tour in Kanchanaburi
Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok.
Drive to Kanchanaburi and visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum, an interactive museum, information, and research facility. The line crosses over the River Khwae Yai via the Death Railway Bridge. Displays at the JEATH War Museum honour the prisoners of war who died building the bridge.
Go to the War Cemetery, the prominent prisoner of war cemetery for victims of Japanese imprisonment during the construction of the Burma Railway. It is located on the main road, Saeng Chuto Road, through Kanchanaburi, Thailand, adjacent to an older Chinese cemetery.
Enjoy a scenic long-tail boat trip along the Maeklong River to the River Kwai.
Have lunch at a local restaurant, then board the local train and ride across wooden viaducts along the Kwai River.
Return to Bangkok and drop off at your hotel.
