Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in the Drakensberg and Gully Hike

08:00 - Meet your tour guide, who will pick you up from the airport or hotel in Johannesburg or Pretoria.
09:00 - Transfer to the Drakensberg.
14:00 - Arrive at your accommodation at Witsieshoek Hotel.
15:00 - Go for a short hike to the gully.
19:00 - Have dinner.

Day 02

Sentinel Peak Hike to the Source of Tugela Falls

07:00 - Have an early breakfast.
08:00 - Board the shuttle to Sentinel car park and start the hike up the mountain upon arrival.
09:00 - 12:00 - Hike up the mountain and Sentinel Peak to see the source of Tugela Falls. Part of the hike will also include climbing the chain ladders.
14:00 - Enjoy lunch at the falls and swim in the river. There will be lots of photographic opportunities.
15:00 - Descend to the Sentinel car park and look out for bearded vultures.
16:00 - Drive back to Johannesburg.
