The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Maui and Transfer to Lahaina-Kaanapali

Your guide will greet you at Kahului International Airport (OGG) in Maui.
You will have a 1-hour road transfer to the Lahaina-Kaanapali resort area to your accommodation of choice.

Day 02

Haleakala Observatory, Maui Wine, and Evening Luau

Take a 4WD on the Hana Highway to Haleakala Observatory and Maui wine.
Return to Lahaina-Kaanapali for an evening luau.

Day 03

Kaanapali Snorkelling and Lahaina Marketplace

Embark on a snorkelling excursion at Kaanapali.
Visit the Lahaina Marketplace.

Day 04

Flight to Big Island and Waimea Exploration

Travel by air to Big Island with Mokulele Air.
Continue to Waimea for the Farmers Market.
Explore Waimea, Honokaa, Waipio Valley, the Vanilla Farm, Sunset Drive on Highway 270, Hawi Town, and Lapakahi at sunset.

Day 05

Volcanoes National Park and Lava Viewing

Set out early on a road trip to Volcanoes National Park for lava viewing.
Cross the Chain of Craters Road, then continue to Kapoho, Poiki, and Black Sand Beach.
Travel through Pahoa Town to Hilo Hill for dinner at Hilo Bay Cafe or Kilauea Inn.

Overnight at the Volcano BNB LD.

Day 06

Mauna Kea Summit and Stargazing Experience

Take a 4WD to the Mauna Kea Observatories at the summit (13,803 ft).
Transfer to a 4-wheel-drive vehicle as required to self-drive up to the summit.
Enjoy evening stargazing activities at the Mauna Kea check-in station at 9,200 feet elevation.
Return to Hilton.
