The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Maumere and Beachside Relaxation

Arrive at Frans Seda Airport in Maumere, Flores, Indonesia.
Meet an experienced English-speaking local guide.
Transfer to the hotel.
Relax in the afternoon at the hotel's front beach. Snorkelling is available.

Overnight stay at Sea World Club Beach Resort or similar.

Day 02

Drive to Pise and Trek to Tiwusora Village

Travel by private AC car to Pise Village.
Visit Pise Primary School to see what a basic education system in a remote village looks like.
Have a short dialogue with the primary school teacher and students.
Start trekking from here to Tiwusora Village for approximately 3 hours.
Watch buffaloes, horses, and cows, and see how the owner feeds saltwater to these domesticated semi-wild animals.
Meet and mingle with the people of Tiwusora Village.
Taste local foods.
Share experiences with the Tiwusora village community and the adat leader.

Overnight stay at a villager's house in Tiwusora Village.

Day 03

Sunrise Hike, Tiwusora Lake, and Return to Maumere

Early in the morning at 5:30 am, hike up to Mbotusora for an overview of Tiwusora Village and Tiwusora Lake at sunrise.
After a local breakfast, trek down to Tiwusora Lake.
Enjoy the lake while listening to natural sounds such as birds and monkeys.
Trek back to the village and visit Tiwusora Primary School to see what a basic education system in a remote village looks like.
Trek back down to Pise Village, then continue by car to Kajuwulu Beach.
Have a short swim at Kajuwulu Beach.
Continue driving back to Maumere town.

Overnight stay at Sea World Club Beach Resort or similar.

Day 04

Departure from Maumere

Relax at the hotel in the morning.
Transfer to Frans Seda Airport for your flight to the next destination.
