The itinerary

Day 01

Windhoek to the Namib Desert via Spreetshoogte Pass

  • Guests will be collected from their lodgings in Windhoek at around 12h00.
  • Your journey to the Namib Desert begins via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass, one of Namibia's steepest and most scenic passes of its kind. A refreshment stop at the small settlement of Solitaire follows, famous for its "Apple Pie", before continuing to the lodge.
  • The authentic desert atmosphere along the way is considered just one of the many highlights this short trip offers.

Day 02

Sossusvlei, Big Daddy, Dune 45 and Sesriem Canyon

  • An early morning departure is essential as the opportunity to climb some of the highest dunes in the world awaits. The view from the highest dune, "Big Daddy", as it is known to the locals, is well worth the early wake-up. Ancient Camelthorn Trees sit at the foot of Big Daddy and Dead Vlei, one of Sossusvlei's most photographed areas.
  • Continue your tour to Dune 45, known as one of the most photographed dunes in the world.
  • From there, drive on to explore the rugged Sesriem Canyon before returning to the lodge.
  • The day ends with a spectacular Namib sunset.

Day 03

Namib Desert to Windhoek via Remhoogte Pass

  • After breakfast, it is time to pack your bags before saying goodbye to the Namib Desert.
  • On your way back, you will return via Remhoogte Pass, an alternative but equally scenic route.
  • Arrival in Windhoek is expected at around 12h30, leaving you enough time to grab a bite for lunch, do some last-minute shopping, prepare for your next adventure, or simply return home with fond memories of Namibia.
