The itinerary

Day 01

Kilimanjaro Day Hike to Mandara Hut and Maundi Crater

Meet your tour guide and leave Moshi early for Marangu Gate. The drive takes approximately 1 hour.
Begin your Kilimanjaro day hike after gate registration. Walking along a narrow trail through Kilimanjaro's rainforest up to Mandara Hut, you will meet mountain climbers descending from the top. At Mandara Hut, you will have your lunch and the option to take a short walk to Maundi Crater. On a clear day, the views to the east over Taveta and to the northwest of Mawenzi Peak are stunning, making the short hike well worth the effort.
Enjoy taking photos on arrival at Maundi Crater before descending to Marangu Gate. Our vehicles will be waiting at Marangu Gate to take you back to Moshi.
