Day 01

River Gambia Cruise and Oyster Culture Experience

Pick up from your hotel at 7 am and drive to Lamin Lodge, a beautiful bar and restaurant built on poles over the River Gambia, where you might catch the sights and sounds of local women oyster collectors and fishers.
On arrival, a guided tour will be conducted at the local oyster factory to see how local people collect oysters for their daily livelihood.
Afterwards, board a wooden canoe boat for a two-hour ride along the mangroves. If you are lucky, you will see monkeys and different species of birds.
A tunnel boat ride to the big silk-cotton tree house will give you an opportunity to see Daranka women oyster collectors, rice fields, and gardens.
