The itinerary

Day 01

Journey to Tendaba Camp and Evening Birdwatching Cruise

Pick up from your hotel at 7 am and drive along the main Trans-Gambia Highway across the south bank.
Drive past numerous villages, with a 20-minute drink break to take in the sights and sounds of the surroundings.
Continue to Kiang. On arrival at Tendaba Camp, check in to your hotel.
You will have time to swim in the pool or relax. After lunch, set off on a 2-hour evening boat cruise along the River Gambia to spot birds going to roost.
Look out for rare bird species such as the pink back pelican, Egyptian plover, giant kingfisher, white reef egret, hammerkop, pied kingfisher, and snakebird.
After the return boat ride, dinner will be served at the restaurant at 8 pm.

Day 02

Kiang West National Park Safari

After breakfast, join an open four-wheel drive for a 1 hour 30 minute safari in Kiang West National Park.
Pass through the Baobolong wetland and look for wildlife such as baboons, antelopes, manatees, waterbucks, bush pigs, and birds.
Enjoy the natural bush environment during the safari and add more fun to your day.
On the return journey, lunch will be served at a restaurant. Arrival at your hotel will be approximately at 4 pm.
