The itinerary

Day 01

Banjul, Barra, Wassu and River Gambia Cruise

Pick up from your hotel at 6:00 am and drive to Banjul, the capital city.
Join the local ferry to Barra.
Follow the north bank of the River Gambia, making a market stop at Farafenni.
Visit the mysterious stone circles at Wassu and learn what is known about them.
Have lunch before cruising further down the River Gambia, where you might catch sight of wild hippos, crocodiles, baboons, chimpanzees, monkeys, and birds that live on the reserve.
On the return journey after the boat trip, head to another ferry crossing point to cross to Georgetown.
Your accommodation and dinner are at Baobolong Riverside Camp.

Day 02

Georgetown Colonial Sights and Return

After breakfast, go to town to take in the sights and discover what was once The Gambia's first colonial capital city.
Visit the Freedom Tree Monument, the ruins of the old colonial buildings and structures, and the underground slave station.
On the return journey, have lunch at a restaurant before arriving at the hotel at 6:00 pm.
