Trivandum Temple Tour
- 05:30 am - Your guide will pick you up from your hotel (Trivandrum/Kovalam) to start the program.
- 06:30 - 7:15 am - Begin by going for darshan at Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the richest functioning Hindu Temple in the world. Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu is, reclining on a Holy Serpent Anantha. Thus, it is known as Ananthashayanam. The temple's architecture is a classical example of the Dravidian style of Architecture.
- 7:15 - 7:45 am - Head to Pazhavangady Ganapathy(Ganesh)Temple. Break a coconut in front of Ganesha and remove all the obstacles coming on your way. The main Deity of the temple is Sri Mahaganapathy (Ganesha). The main idol is installed in a seated posture with the right leg in a folded stance. The temple sculptures include 32 different forms of Lord Ganesha.
- 07:45 - 08:30 am - Have a delicious breakfast.
- 08:30 - 09:30 am - Then, proceed to Attukal Bhagavathy Temple. This temple is in the Guinness world of records for the maximum number of ladies gathering for an occasion. Ladies cook a porridge(Pongala) in and around the temple once every year. In 2009 Guinness people officially counted more than 2.5 million ladies cooking porridge on the streets of Thiruvananthapuram. Offer a lemon lamp to the goddess for your best wish to full fill.
- 09:30 - 10:00 am - Next, move to Azhimala Temple, which is considered Kerala's tallest Shiva Sculpture. Perched on the beautiful cliff of Azhimala with the endless Arabian Sea in the backdrop, this 58-feet tall Shiva Sculpture in the form of Gangadhareshwara Mahadev Avatar holding a Trishul and his extremely wavy hair carrying Goddess Ganga is an astonishing sight that makes your jaw drop each time you see it.
- 10:00 - 10:30 am - After visiting the Azhimala Temple, drive to a beach.
- 10:30 - 11:00 am - Later, return to your respective hotel to conclude the tour.
