Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

   • Leave Arusha in the morning and journey to Tarangire National Park.
   • Explore the park and marvel at the enormous termite mounds and historic baobab bushes.
   • Enjoy the picturesque scenery and observe the abundant wildlife, including the impressive elephant population.
     • African elephants are the most important land mammals and can weigh as much as seven tons.
   • Spot lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetahs, mongoose, buffaloes, and baboons.
   • After the game drive, head to Lake Manyara for dinner and an overnight stay.

2. Day 2: Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

   • Transit to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro after a delicious breakfast.
   • Take the scenic route to the Serengeti, which allows for a chance of a spotting game near the Ngorongoro Crater.
   • Enjoy the infinite golden savannah with splotches of shade created by the vegetation and wildlife, making it easy to understand why the Serengeti is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.
   • Stop for a picnic lunch on a kopje, a small hill in a usually flat area.
   • Proceed further into the Serengeti for a leisurely sports drive.
   • Spend the night at Serengeti.

3. Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

   • Begin the day with an early morning game drive inside the Serengeti.
   • Enjoy the melodies of the birds as the regenerated daylight illuminates the landscape.
   • Follow the footprints on the floor to track down any potential predators.
   • Journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater.
   • Enjoy the dinner and an overnight stay.

4. Days 4: Ngorongoro to Arusha

   • Begin the day with an early morning breakfast.
   • Hurry to Ngorongoro Crater, as it's an excellent time to spot animals.
   • Enjoy a game drive across the crater and stop for a picnic lunch at a small lake in the park.
   • Observe the hippos and migratory birds at the lake.
     • With the animals in the "oasis" created in the crater, there is a high chance to spot every member of the 'Big 5'.
     • Ngorongoro Crater was formed over two million years ago and is a perfectly unbroken caldera.
   • Spot playful zebras, lumbering hippos, rapid wildebeest, and cackling hyenas in the crater.
   • Observe flocks of graceful flamingos alongside the Soda Lake and hungry hawks and vultures circling the sky.
   • See beautiful storks, ibis, and cranes, popular waterbirds in the crater.
   • Start the adventure back to Arusha after a lovely afternoon of animal sightings.
