4-Day Mekong Delta Cycling Tour from Sai Gon to Phnom Penh

Pick up from the hotel and transfer to Bến Tre city (2 hours).

Cycle through tranquil hamlets, with cottage houses nestling in the orchards and coconut plantations.

Make a short visit to the Dong Khoi Museum, considered the Vietnamese communist cradle during the Vietnam War. Cross narrow canals on a local sampan before boarding the main ferry for a refreshing boat trip across the lower Mekong.

Ride the final 4 km to Trà Vinh town.

The regional architecture is interesting, and there are many Khmer temples to visit and admire en route. The Vietnamese guide will design a special route for this day depending on your cycling ability.

After lunch, continue riding to Trà Ôn boat dock and take the boat to Can Tho city.

Take an early morning boat trip to Cai Rang floating market and cruise along meandering canals, depending on the river's tide, to visit a rice paper home workshop and a rice mill before riding for 3 hours under the shade of the orchards.

After lunch, transfer for a visit to Sam Mountain. The views from the top are spectacular, and it is easy to look out over the Cambodian border and behold the sunset.

Rise early for a boat trip through the amazing riverside market, with all its bustling activity and smorgasbord of sounds, colours, and smells.

Cruise through the fish-farm village, which produces tons of fish beneath hundreds of floating homes.

Discover the ethnic Cham village with its famous Mubarak Mosque and observe local women at their traditional weaving.

Cycle about 20 km along rice paddies, fruit gardens, and canals, then return to Sai Gon. An optional early morning departure is available from the Châu Đốc boat dock to Phnom Penh by boat.
