The itinerary

Day 01

Drive from Kampala to Bwindi via the Equator and Mbarara

Drive southwest early in the morning to cover the 9-hour journey.
The early morning departure helps you avoid traffic jams in Kampala City and enables you to arrive on time for the activities in Bwindi.
Make your first stopover at the Equator, where you will have a chance to take pictures and enjoy the fantastic scenery of the imaginary line.
Stop in Mbarara for lunch.
Continue driving until you arrive in Bwindi.
Later, check in to your lodge, refresh, and enjoy your dinner.

Day 02

Gorilla Tracking Adventure in Bwindi Forest

Wake up early in the morning for a hearty breakfast and prepare yourself. Our driver-guide will drive you to the park headquarters at 7 am, where you will be briefed about the whole tracking experience.
After the briefing, proceed into the park on foot with an armed game ranger and guide.
During your tracking, finding the gorillas will depend on how fast you move and where the gorillas last fed the previous day.
When you find them, you are only allowed to spend 1 hour with the wild apes to see how they feed, groom their members, and experience their day-to-day activities.

Day 03

Return to Kampala or Entebbe via Igongo Culture Centre

Wake up early in the morning for a hearty breakfast and prepare for your journey back to Kampala, arriving before 6 pm.
Have lunch in Mbarara at Agip Motel and make a stopover at Igongo Culture Centre. Our guide will give you complete information about the culture.
You may also admire and buy yourself a souvenir at the centre before continuing your journey to Kampala, back to your hotel or to the airport for departure.
