6-Day Serengeti Safari and Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Tour

• You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and driven to Serengeti National Park, renowned for its abundance of wildlife. This scenic journey takes you through the Great Rift Valley region.
• The drive passes Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will make a brief stop at the crater viewpoint.
• You will then continue to the endless plains of the Serengeti through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
• Game viewing begins as you enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. At the park gate, you will stop to open your lunch boxes before continuing into Serengeti National Park for an en route afternoon game drive in search of wildlife.
• Lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, hyenas, giraffes, elands, zebras, wildebeests, Thomson gazelles, baboons, rhinos, and hartebeests are just a few of the animals you may see. Later, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

• After an early morning breakfast, you will set out with lunch boxes ready as you head into the jungle. The park is especially vibrant during the cold early morning hours, when nocturnal animals are returning to their hiding places.
• This is also a rewarding time for wildlife viewing, as big game may still be hunting while grazers feed on the fresh grass with its dew. Large animals, especially elephants and rhinos, also like grazing when the temperatures are cooler.
• The early bird is out to catch its warmth for the day. Your game drives follow the most recommended tracks, and with experienced driver-guides who have an eagle eye, your wildlife dream experience can exceed expectations.
• Later, you will return to the information center to rest and relax while opening your lunch boxes. There is also an optional simple nature walk here if you are interested.
• In the evening, head out again for another game drive to search for what may have been missed earlier in the day.
• Later in the evening, drive back to the lodge for refreshments, dinner, and an overnight stay.

• Wake up early for breakfast, then begin your drive back to Arusha. The journey continues with game spotting along the way as you make your way in time for your flight to Entebbe.
• Upon arrival in Uganda through Entebbe, your Uganda driver-guide will be waiting to receive you. You will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe for a refreshing and relaxing evening.

Dinner and overnight

• Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drive you to Bwindi via the Kampala-Masaka Road. The journey takes approximately 8 hours and is very scenic, with brief stops along the way.
• Although the drive is long, you will have the chance to stop at the equator to take photos and do the water experiment that demonstrates the northern and southern hemispheres.
• After that, continue through the lush countryside, stopping for lunch in Mbarara town before proceeding to Bwindi.
• Later in the evening, check in to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

• You will get up at 6:30 a.m. once again.
• After breakfast, begin your journey to the park offices, where the wardens will brief you on what you can and should not do. A gorilla family will be assigned to each group of eight people.
• After the briefing, the rangers will lead you in search of the primates. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park is thrilling, as it also introduces you to spectacular scenery, birds, and butterflies.
• You are only permitted to spend one hour with the primates, so make the most of this opportunity to take pictures while following the gorilla trekking rules.
• The trek itself can take from 3 to 6 hours, but your time with the gorillas is limited to one hour.

• Wake up to the stunning scenery of Bwindi, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and then check out of the lodge for your return journey to Kampala and Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
