Day 01

Kairouan, Monastir and Sousse Historical Excursion

Connect with your tour guide and start the program in the morning by driving towards Kairouan.
In Kairouan, see the pools (53,000 m3) built by Muslims at the end of the 7th century AD.
Explore the monument of one of the companions of the Prophet Mohamed for Muslims, with its unique decoration.
Then, go to the first religious monument built for Muslims in Africa - the Great Mosque of Kairouan.
After lunch (optional), head to Monastir.
Next, proceed to the Ribat, the military fortress built at the end of the 8th century AD to protect the coastline of Tunisia.
Then, move to the mausoleum of the first president of Tunisia, Habib Bourguiba, decorated with Italian marble and displaying his personal belongings.
Later, go to Sousse, cross the medina (the old city), and spend some free time.
