Kairouan, Monastir and Sousse Historical Excursion
- Connect with your tour guide and start the program in the morning by driving towards Kairouan.
- In Kairouan, see the pools (53,000 m3) built by Muslims at the end of the 7th century AD.
- Explore the monument of one of the companions of the Prophet Mohamed for Muslims, with its unique decoration.
- Then, go to the first religious monument built for Muslims in Africa - the Great Mosque of Kairouan.
- After lunch (optional), head to Monastir.
- Next, proceed to the Ribat, the military fortress built at the end of the 8th century AD to protect the coastline of Tunisia.
- Then, move to the mausoleum of the first president of Tunisia, Habib Bourguiba, decorated with Italian marble and displaying his personal belongings.
- Later, go to Sousse, cross the medina (the old city), and spend some free time.
