The itinerary

Day 01

Summit Hike on Snæfellsjökull Glacier

At the Snæfellsjökull parking lot, we will prepare you with the right gear for the hike. The hike takes 6 to 8 hours in total, and the approach to the glacier takes 40-60 minutes.
When we get to the glacier's edge, we'll put on the glacier gear: crampons, harnesses, and ropes. The summit of Snæfellsjökull is at 1,446 m above sea level.
We usually stop at 1,418 m, but we can go to the true summit at 1,446 m. However, it is a steep slope on top of a rock-and-ice peak. A lunch break on the summit is a nice way to enjoy the view while eating something. On a clear day, the view of the peninsula is stunning, but of course, we can't promise a clear day.
After lunch, we start the descent from the summit and return to the car.
