The National Aviary of Colombia has 138 bird species and about 1,800 specimens. Located 14.5 km between Cartagena and Barú, it is the largest aviary in America. Its attractions promote the care of nature and the importance of environmental sustainability, and include the Harpy Eagle, the Caribbean Toucan, Pink Flamingos, and the Crowned Crane, among others. It also has three systemic eco-environments - rainforest, coast, and desert - that support its wide variety of permanent exhibits.
