Day 01
Explore Siwa Oasis and the Sahara Desert
- Meet your tour guide at the meeting point, the Tourist Information Office in Siwa, at 10 am to start the tour.
- Begin with an introduction to Siwa and receive general information about the local society.
- Explore Shali Fortress, learn about its history and unique architecture, and enjoy a nice panoramic view of Siwa Oasis from the top of the Shali ruins.
- Continue to the most famous archaeological site in the Western Desert, the Oracle Temple, which is important because Alexander the Great visited it to consult the god Ammon about his future. Stop at the Ammon Temple for a while and learn more about it.
- Enjoy a floating experience in the Salt Lake.
- Stop at Cleopatra Spring, enjoy swimming in the fresh groundwater, and have juice from the local cafe shops around the spring.
- After lunchtime, begin your Sahara desert safari experience until sunset, with amazing sandboarding, Siwa tea, hot springs, dunes, and more.
