Description

Embark on a wildlife safari to explore Tanzania's lively nature and the incredible wildlife and bird species on this 2-day excursion. Go for a thrilling safari in Tarangire National Park, home to huge Baobab trees and African elephants, and enjoy an exciting game drive around the Ngorongoro Crater- one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.

Itinerary

Day 1- Moshi - Tarangire National Park
- Connect with your tour guide in Moshi and depart for Tarangire National Park early in the morning.
- Once arrived, go for a game drive and spot diverse bird species and an extensive population of elephants.
- After viewing the wildlife in Tarangire, continue to the Ngorongoro Crater.
Have overnight at Fanaka Camp (close to Lake Manyara). Dinner will be served at the campsite.
Day 2- Ngorongoro Crater - Moshi
- Early in the morning, after having breakfast, depart to Ngorongoro Crater, which includes a magnificent game drive with a picnic lunch in the crater. Animals infrequently migrate in and out of the crater due to its elevated walls. This means you are capable of spotting every member of the big five in one day.
- Meet lovely flamingos on Soda Lake. Our professional guides will help you to track down the hidden animals as they are skilled enough. This is a skill that a book cannot teach you and that a selected few can perform.
- End your trip in the late afternoon by proceeding to Moshi. Arrangements for transportation to the airport or Arusha can be made on request.

Know Before You Go

If you experience any flight delays, please contact Furaha Tours via text messages or phone call. Sending an email does no guarantee we receive your message in time.

If you arrive to Kilimanjaro airport(JRO)and don't see driver, please call any of the numbers below.If the number are out of coverage. please send a text message as well.

Make sure you travel with your most important items as hand luggage. If your luggage gets lost by the airline, you still have the most important items with you and can rent less important items. Make sure you wear your boots on the plane.

Make sure you have a lock foro your duffel bag and make sure all items in your duffel bag are packed in small water proof plastic bags, even if your duffel bag is water proof.

Bring a separate bag or suit case so you can store excess luggage at the hotel for the duration of the hike.

If you wish to rent any equipment please let us know in advance.

Traveler checks are not recommended, rather bring credit cards or cash in USD. Please make sure all USD bank notes are in good condition with no cuts/damage and not older than 2001.

During the hike keep all valuables such as money and passports on you do not leave it un the tent, OR you can leave them in with us as we have a safe place to store clients valuables, o as to avoid get lost or being stolen.

Most places on Kilimanjaro have mobile coverage. If you bring your mobile phone, make sure you activate international roaming with your service provider. If taking your mobile phone with you on the hike, we recommend you switch your phone off when not using it as there are no electricity points on the mountain for you to charge your phone.

When doing the summit attempt, we recommend to take the batteries out of your camera and keep it close to your body, then only insert them when you are ready to start taking photos.

If using camelback, remember to bring an insulating cover for the pipe and remember to blow the water out of the pipe after drinking. This will help prevent the water from freezing in the summit attempt.

If taking snacks, we recommend to avoid any toffee like energy bars as they will freeze at a high altitude, rather bring cereal based energy bars.

During the summit attempt, cold conditions and wind can make your nose runny. Something like Vicks Vapor can help your nose open.

Using Lip Balm or Vaseline on your lips. This will help keep them moisturised during the summit attempt.

Sound travel at night and many people snore-bring some ear plugs to sleep with.

The trail is very dust and a blocked is common. Remember to bring a good decongestant spray (tablet).

Hand warmers and even a hot water bottle is good idea (during meal times hot water is available). You will encounter minus temperatures from the first night onwards and this really helps to keep warm in the sleeping bag.

If you start to get blister it will help you to bring blister plasters, Vaseline, and liner socks.

Don't forget the water purification tablets.

During the summit attempt you will ascend 1km in altitude in a very short period. Gasses in your stomach will expand. Many people drink Imodium just before leaving for the summit attempt.
