Day 01
Jeep Excursion to Reykjanes Hidden Treasures
- Your tour guide will pick you up from your location or Keflavík Airport, if requested, and take you to a "different planet" about 1 hour from Reykjavík, where you will not see any crowds. You will travel in a very small group of a maximum of 5 people in a super comfy off-road 4x4.
- In the area, see old craters, fissures, and bubbling geothermal mud pools. By the sea, witness amazing rock formations, the oldest lighthouse in Iceland, and some ghosts.
- While you look around, the guide will take pictures of you in the beautiful scenery, share interesting facts about the places, teach you a bit about the Icelandic language, and offer a personal perspective on Iceland. The retouched pictures, about 15 in total, will be sent to you within 72 hours.
- Tour across the below-mentioned tourist attractions:
- Grindavík - a small fishing town with geothermal and volcanic activities
- Valahnúkamöl sea cliffs - created by powerful storms, high waves, and pounding surf
- Reykjanes Lighthouse - the highest lighthouse in Iceland
- Brimketill lava rock pool - one of many hidden geological gems on the south side of the Reykjanes Peninsula
- Gunnuhver - an impressive and colourful geothermal field
- The geothermal area of Krýsuvík - one of the most striking landscapes in Iceland
- Kleifarvatn Lake - the deepest lake of Reykjanes
- Lava fields
Optional: 1-hour additional hiking to the recent volcano eruption and more hidden spots, if requested.
