Accra Markets, James Town, and Osu
- Connect with your tour guide at Independence Square to start the itinerary.
- Begin by walking through one of the biggest markets in West Africa - the Markola Market.
- Then, go to James Town (British Accra) and learn a little history about this historic place.
- Stroll through the principal streets of British Accra and visit Ussher Fort and James Fort, two of the oldest forts in Accra, one of which also served as a prison for Ghana's first president.
- Next, see the lighthouse and the active fishing port of James Town, which used to be a slave port.
- Head back to the Art and Cultural Market (Art Center) for more experience with the African drum and to buy some African artifacts.
- Afterwards, move to the principal street of Osu for some brunch or dinner, depending on the time.
