Tirana Highlights Excursion from Durrës
- Connect with your tour representative at your Durrës accommodation and transfer to the capital city, Tirana.
- During this visit, sightsee the following sites:
- Skenderbeg Square, winner of the European Prize for Urban Public Space in 2018
- Et'hem Bej Mosque, a historic religious structure
- The Clock Tower of Tirana, built by the Ottoman Turks and originally fitted with a bell from Venice
- The National Museum of History, which holds most of the country's archaeological treasures
- Bunk'art, an underground bunker constructed during Tirana's communist era
- Pedonalja, one of the unique streets in Tirana
- The National Art Gallery of Albania, which currently houses 4,626 artworks
- The Pyramid of Tirana, a legacy of Enver Hoxha, the long-time leader of Communist Albania
- The Palace of Culture, consisting of a theatre, shops, and art galleries
- Blloku, home to some of the best restaurants, trendy bars, pubs, and cafes in Albania
- The New Bazaar, which features contemporary painted buildings
