Denderah Temple Excursion
- Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor to start the tour.
- Pay a visit to the Denderah Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Hathor; Mother of the Pharaohs, representing maternity, love, music and the celestial. The Goddess is represented with the horns of the sacred cow supporting the solar disc of the sun. She holds an "Ankh" (the symbol of life) and a sceptre in her hands. The archaeological site dates back more than 4,000 years and the relief of Pharaoh Pepi I (2250BC), offered to Hathor can be seen in the crypt.
- Walk around the temple precinct and visit the Mammisi (chapel of divine birth) of Nectanebo II, the last Egyptian Pharaoh.
- After visiting the temple, return to Luxor to end the tour.
