Day 01

Mukuni Village Cultural Tour

Meet your driver by 10 am and drive to Mukuni Village, 25 km from Livingstone Town and 10 km from Victoria Falls. The village lies along the Zambezi Gorges and is home to the Toka Leya-speaking people. The beauty of this village is that its people have adhered to their culture and traditions as passed down through generations.
Upon arrival, connect with the local village tour guide, who will give you a pre-tour briefing. The guide will explain the history, culture, and traditions of the Leya people. Stroll through the homesteads, interact with the elders of the village, and learn how traditional dishes are prepared.
Now, visit the Chief's palace, where you will be introduced to local governance.
Explore sacred places that only the Leya people are privileged to see. Conclude with a tour of the craft village, where you can buy souvenirs.
