Open-Air Double-Decker Tour of St. Maarten
- Meet your tour representative at the port in Philipsburg, the Dutch-side capital of St. Maarten. Enjoy the unique views and fresh air on an open-top double-decker bus during a tour filled with photo opportunities and local tastings.
- Pass by the Great Salt Pond and the countryside on the way to Marigot, the French-side capital, where you'll stop for photos in a truly European atmosphere, with the waterside, open-air markets, quaint shops, boutiques, and sidewalk cafes as your background.
- After your brief sojourn in Marigot, hop back on the double-decker and travel across St. Maarten's latest infrastructure addition, the Causeway Swing Bridge, where you may spot lovely sailboats and magnificent mega-yachts on the lagoon, depending on the time of year.
- Arrive at Maho Beach, where you may watch thrilling airplanes overhead as they land at Princess Juliana International Airport.
- Proceed across the south for views of Simpson Bay Lagoon, then stop at a local rhum distillery for a complimentary tasting of various flavours of rhum.
- Conclude the tour with a stop at the Amsterdam Cheese & Liquor store for a complimentary tasting of Old Amsterdam Gouda cheese and a sweet surprise to enjoy on your way back to the ship.
