Street Photography in Jerusalem Old City
- We will start at Jaffa Gate, one of the four main gates into Jerusalem Old City.
- We shall make our way through the narrow alleys, taking action shots as we go. We shall then reach El-Wad Street, the heart of the Muslim Quarter. This is the main drag from Damascus Gate, giving access both to the Western Wall and the Esplanade of the Mosques. Feverish human activity is always found there.
- We might walk a stretch of the Via Dolorosa, along which Jesus carried the cross to Golgotha. Christian pilgrims reenact this act daily, carrying heavy wooden crosses along the narrow lanes.
- We shall then proceed to the Western Wall, the most essential Jewish shrine, next to the Esplanade of the Mosques. The atmosphere of prayer and meditation beside the Wall is a source of inspiration.
