9-Day Tour Santiago & San Pedro de Atacama

Arrival at Santiago de Chile International Airport. At the agreed time, a driver will wait for you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Rest of the day off.

Around 8:00 am, we will leave our selected hotels, to tour the main points of the city, while we know their stories and the importance in today's society. We will visit the Cerro Santa Lucía, the Civic Neighborhood, the Palacio de La Moneda, the National Historical Museum and the Cathedral of Santiago among others. We will return at approximately 12:30 PM and have the rest of the day off.

Around 8:00 am, we will leave towards Valparaíso, passing our way through the valleys of Curacaví and Casablanca. We will tour the city of Valparaíso, admiring its impressive constructions on the cliff. We will continue our visit to Viña del Mar, where we can see the Clock of Flowers, the Casino of Games and Reñaca. Here, we will pause for lunch (not included) and then we will take a walk on the beach. After this amazing day, we will be returning to the hotel at approximately 6 pm.

After breakfast at the hotel and depending on your flight schedule, free time until a driver picks you up to go to the Airport. Arrival at La Serena, where a driver will take you to your hotel.

 At sunset we will head towards the Elqui Valley. We will make a brief stop in the city of Vicuña, where the municipal offices are located, to formalize our entrance to the Mamalluca Amateur Observatory. We will continue our way to the Observatory heading towards the northeast of the city, crossing the town of San Isidro. Here we will enjoy a pleasant nocturnal activity where we can contemplate the stars in this special place, open to all public but intimate enough since you need to book prior to your visit. Here we will have a talk about the Universe and the Stars of the Southern Hemisphere, together with a projection of images to understand more what we are about to experience. Then the main activity we are waiting for will start: we will have time for night observation of stars, planets, and galaxies.

We will begin around 8:30 am this fascinating walk, admiring the elegance of the buildings and countless churches, the pre-Columbian past of the region and the outstanding evolution in the Archaeological Museum. We will have time to tour the Mercado La Recova, a picturesque tourist center for the exhibition and sale of local handicrafts. We will stop at the Mirador de la Universidad de La Serena, where a spectacular view of the Bay of Coquimbo, the city and the port await us. We will also walk through the beautiful gardens of the University, where we can see hibiscus and bungavilla. We will continue our visit to the Monumental Lighthouse, which is the symbol of the city.

We will appreciate the sophisticated buildings and tourist complexes of Avenida del Mar and visit Costanera Avenue and Coquimbo Center where we can appreciate the characteristic marine and commercial activity of the port. We will finish this incredible tour by visiting the La Herradura beach, in the bay of Guayacán, a place that in the past was a pirate's den.

After breakfast at the hotel and depending on your flight schedule, free time until a driver picks you up to go to the Airport. Arrival at San Pedro de Atacama where a driver will take you to your hotel.

We will leave very early in the morning to make the most of the day. At 6:30 am we will pick you up at the selected hotels to begin our adventure. We will go to the Salar del Talar where the Mirador Piedras Rojas is located, and here we can enjoy a simple breakfast while admiring the landscape. We will visit the Miñique and Miscanti Lagoon, where we will do a little trekking to explore the area on foot. We will visit the village of Socaire, whose main attraction is its houses without windows and its antique Church.

We will continue our way to the Salar de Atacama, where we will visit the Laguna Chaxa National Reserve and have time for lunch. Finally, we will visit the town of Toconao, which firmly keeps its indigenous traditions.

We will pick you up at 3 pm to visit the Laguna Cejar. We will say goodbye to these magical landscapes enjoying a bath in the turquoise lagoons where thanks to its high salinity content it's impossible to sink. From here we can see an exceptional sunset, and then we will return to our hotels in San Pedro de Atacama.

Depending on the departure time of your flight, you will have free time to make last-minute purchases or go explore the city. At the agreed time, your driver will pass by the hotel to take you back to Calama International Airport (Atacama).
