The itinerary

Day 01

Train Journey to Machu Picchu from Cusco

• Pick up from your hotel at 3:40 a.m., or two hours before the departure of your train. Head to Ollantaytambo or Poroy Station, where you will board the train to the Inca City of Machu Picchu.
• Upon arrival at Machu Picchu Station, transfer to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, where your guide will be waiting to begin a two-hour tour of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. You will also have time to stay in Machu Picchu and appreciate the scenery and heritage of the site.
• Then, take the bus back to Machu Picchu town, where you will have time to visit the village.
• Half an hour before the train departs, board the train for the return journey to Ollantaytambo.
• Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, our staff will be waiting to take you to the imperial city of Cusco, to the main square, and from there to your hotel (transportation not included).
