Explore Puntarenas Province and the Tàrcoles River
- After pickup, go to see the monkeys in the area. This takes approximately half an hour.
- Pass through Espàrza city, the second oldest city in Costa Rica, and visit:
- the main square
- the semi-colonial church, where you may sometimes see a group of adolescent children performing a typical Costa Rican dance. Spend about half an hour enjoying this place.
- Tour a countryside fruit stand with different varieties of typical Costa Rican fruits and shop for souvenirs, followed by a bird-watching area where you can see macaws, toucans, and other birds. This stop takes approximately 45 minutes.
- Take a boat through the Tàrcoles River to enjoy bird watching, with an experienced guide providing information. This part lasts about an hour and a half.
- Enjoy lunch with a special typical Costa Rican dish in an incredible place with a wonderful landscape view.
- Later, return to the ship at approximately 3:00 to 3:30 pm.
