Day 01
Wilpotha Village Tour with Lake Ride and Coconut Experiences
- You will be picked up from your hotel in Negombo or Colombo at 06:30 hrs and transferred by fully air-conditioned private vehicle to Wilpotha Coconut Village with a driver.
- Receive a warm welcome in the village, along with an introduction to the area and the coconut tree by the staff. Then, enjoy a fresh coconut water drink, begin the tour with the land master, and visit the coconut husk chips production place.
- Continue to the cashew nuts production place in the village.
- Transfer by Tuk-Tuk to Katupotha Lake and enjoy a catamaran boat ride on the lake.
- After the boat ride, taste snacks made from coconut near the lake.
- Then transfer again by Tuk-Tuk to the rice mills in a village home. Visit and learn about the small rice mills based in village homes.
- Visit the villagers' coconut coir workplace and then continue to the coir products factory, where you can see unique coconut products made from coconut coir.
- Return by Tuk-Tuk to the centre of Wilpotha Village and begin the village walk. Enjoy the cultivation, walk through the coconut lands, and return to the finishing place.
- After finishing the Wilpotha village trek, transfer back to your hotel in Colombo or Negombo by fully air-conditioned private car with the staff.
- You will be dropped back at your hotel in Colombo or Negombo.
