The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Montevideo

Arrive at Carrasco Airport and meet the driver who will take you to your accommodation.
Enjoy a free afternoon to explore at your own pace.
Dinner is at your leisure.

Day 02

Montevideo City Tour

The driver will pick you up at your hotel.
Enjoy a 3-hour city tour of Montevideo with a knowledgeable guide.
Stop at the Montevideo sign, Estadio Centenario, Mercado Agricola, and Ciudad Vieja.
Learn about Uruguay's history and culture.
Return to your accommodation in time for lunch.

Day 03

Family Winery Visit and Light Lunch

After breakfast, visit a 4th-generation family winery in the countryside.
Enjoy a glass of bubbles on arrival while learning about its history.
Visit the winery, production area, and cellar, followed by a light lunch with wine.
This is more of an educational experience, where you will learn about Uruguayan wines.
This is a great opportunity to taste Tannat, Uruguay's flagship grape.
After many laughs and fond memories, head back to the hotel.
Dinner is at your leisure.

Day 04

Colonia del Sacramento Day Trip

After breakfast, travel to Colonia del Sacramento, where you will visit a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Stop at Plaza de Toros de San Carlos, a former bullring. The arena hosted a total of eight fights before bullfighting was prohibited by the Uruguayan National Government in 1912. This is a landmark site in Uruguay.
The next stop will be the Historic Plaza, located near the Old Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
You can then enjoy lunch at your leisure. We will recommend a nice place.
Return to Montevideo, with dinner at your leisure.

Day 05

Punta del Este and La Barra Excursion

After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a trip to Punta del Este.
Stop at Casapueblo, constructed by Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró. It is located in Punta Ballena, 13 kilometers from Punta del Este. Initially, it was the artist's summer home and workshop, and now includes a museum, an art gallery, a cafeteria, and a hotel in its facilities. There is time for a coffee or a drink on the terrace.
Drive to Punta del Este to see the 'Handout of the Sand', the lighthouse, and the port area.
Enjoy lunch at your leisure.
Take a drive through neighbourhoods like Beverly Hills on the route to La Barra beach town.
Return to Montevideo after a full-day trip.
Dinner is at your leisure.
