Tour of Armenian Monasteries
- 09:00: Connect with your tour guide in Yerevan to start the itinerary.
- 10:00: Reach Hayravank and stay there for 20 minutes. The 9th-13th century monastery complex is located on the northeastern edge of the village of Hayravank, on the rocky promontory of Lake Sevan. The church and the vestibule have been preserved.
- 10:25: Drive to Noratus khachkars. Noratus cemetery, also spelt Noraduz, is a medieval cemetery with many early khachkars located in the village of Noratus, Gegharkunik Province, near Gavar and Lake Sevan, 90 km north of Yerevan. The cemetery has the largest cluster of khachkars.
- 10:50: Arrive at Noratus and stay there for around 30 minutes.
- 11:20: Leave Noratus.
- 11:30: Then, head to Mikayelyan Family Farm, a cheese factory, and explore for an hour. Mikayelyan Family Farm is engaged in livestock breeding, milk production, and milk processing, particularly cheese production. They produce wine cheese, cognac cheese, "horats", and parmesan-type cheeses.
- 12:30: Next, move to Sevanavank, located on the peninsula of Lake Sevan (an island at the time of its foundation). According to the legend, the modern church was founded on the site of a ruined pagan shrine and was consecrated by Gregory the Illuminator in 305.
- 14:45 - 15:15: Go boating.
- 15:30: Afterwards, proceed towards Tsaghkadzor.
- 16:00: Reach Kecharis Monastery, located in the northwestern part of Tsakhkadzor. The monastery complex was formed and completed in the 11th-13th centuries by the efforts of the Pahlavun and Proshyan (Khaghbakyan) princes.
- 16:30: Take a ropeway ride over there.
- 18:00: Finally, return to Yerevan.
