Day 01

Tabuk Castle, Al-Shaq Canyon and Wadi Al Disah Adventure

  • Arrive at Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Airport in Tabuk as per your scheduled flight timing.
  • Welcome to Tabuk, the capital city of the Tabuk Region in northwestern Saudi Arabia.
  • You will be met by our representative outside the arrival area after collecting your baggage and transferred to the hotel for check-in.
  • After arriving at the hotel and checking in, drop your bags in the room and return to your vehicle. Your tour leader will give you full attention from the moment the tour starts and, during the drive, will talk to you about the places along the way and other aspects of the tour that may interest you.
  • 0800h: Proceed to Aldisah Valley (Wadi Qaraqir), accompanied by a guide/driver.
  • 0830h: First stop - Tabuk Castle. Located in the center of town, this is the oldest castle in the area and was built in 1559 during the reign of the Ottoman Empire. Explore Tabuk Castle and the Hijaz Railway Station, take some photos, and then return to your vehicle.
  • 0900h: Second stop - the great canyon of Al-Shaq, on the edge of NEOM. The name Al-Shaq means "the tear" or "the rip," which reflects how the earth appears to have been torn apart by tectonic forces. This is why it is also known as the Great Canyon of Saudi Arabia. It lies in the Tabuk region between Jabal Hesma and Wadi Qaraqir, close to Shiqry village. Take a short walk to the ledge of NEOM, where an overhang offers a perfect perspective for a souvenir picture. You can also see the famous Lion Mountain, whose shape resembles the face of a lion, before returning to the vehicle.
  • 1030h: Head to Disah Valley, mainly located within the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Natural Reserve in the southwest of Tabuk Province.
  • 1230h: Arrive in Disah Valley, known as the Valley of Palms. Upon arrival, you will immediately see why it has this name. The lush valley floor is surrounded by massive sandstone cliffs and pillars, along with beautiful palm trees that make the area perfect for exploration. Lunch will be served at a local farm.
  • After lunch, get ready for a 4x4 vintage car adventure and enjoy a safari tour inside the valley. You will experience the flourishing nature, high mountains, water springs, and the captivating beauty of the valley. One of the wadi's most remarkable features is the water stream that runs through the western part of the canyon toward the city of Disah. Numerous palm trees, bushes, and tall grasses flourish between the majestic cliffs of the canyon. You will also enjoy discovering the old engravings on the walls of Nabatean Gate. Hike and take a nature walk around the valley, followed by coffee or tea with snacks.
  • 1730h: Finish the Wadi tour and enjoy the sunset experience at Hajalah.
  • 1800h: Drive back to Tabuk.
  • 2000h: Arrive in Tabuk.
  • Drop off at the hotel and have dinner.

Overnight stay at the reserved hotel.

Day 02

Midian Heritage Tour and Wadi Tayyeb Al Ism

  • 0800h: Proceed to Madyan, accompanied by a guide/driver.
  • 0840h: First stop - Safina Rock Mountain (Jabal Safina).
  • Visit Jabal Safina, also known as Ship Mountain. It takes its name from the way it appears like a ship from a distance in the middle of the Hesma desert. The site also preserves a record of history through archaeological inscriptions on its rocks. Get closer to the mountain, admire its ship-like form, take some pictures, and then return to your vehicle for the next stop.
  • 0915h: Second stop - Tabuk Local Museum.
  • Visit the local museum and learn about the history and culture of the city.
  • 1030h: Arrive in Midian.
  • Third stop - Mugha'yer Shuaib, including the tombs and cave visit. Mugha'yer Shuaib appears almost out of nowhere in the reddish desert west of Tabuk. It is believed that Moses (as) lived here for a decade under the patronage of Prophet Shuaib, who was impressed by Moses' chivalry and offered his daughter's hand in marriage. Moses eventually returned to Egypt, but it is easy to imagine that this beautiful place remained with him.
  • 1130h: Fourth stop - Moses Water Well. Visit the well at Maqna, where it is believed that Moses took care of Jethro's, or Prophet Shuaib's, daughters and helped them draw water for their sheep.
  • 1230h: Fifth stop - the 12 Springs of Prophet Moses at Maqna. This historical landmark is located in the valley of Maqna, Saudi Arabia. The emergence of water and its flow against gravity in the middle of the desert appears almost magical. These springs also feed water into the famous valley of Maqna through sand holes formed by water flowing up from the ground.
  • 1315h: Time for lunch in Sharma, Maqna, or Albada.
  • 1400h: Proceed to Wadi Tayyeb Al Ism Valley, also known as the Valley of Moses.
  • Sixth stop - Wadi Tayyeb Al Ism Valley. This is considered by some researchers to be the possible location where Prophet Moses, peace be upon him, brought his people out of Egypt. Tayyeb Al-Ism is believed to be the first place Moses (as) reached after crossing the Red Sea, and it is one of the magical natural wonders of Saudi Arabia that surprises visitors. Visit this famous and attractive place in NEOM, where the valley overlooks the sea and is known for its captivating nature and crystal-clear water stream throughout the year. Hike and take a nature walk inside the valley, and capture as many photos as you like to remember the enjoyable time spent there.
  • 1630h: Finish the Wadi tour and proceed to the sea for a sunset experience.
  • Enjoy free time for pictures, along with tea or coffee and snacks.
  • 1800h: Drive to Haql.
  • 2000h: Arrive in Haql.
  • Drop off at the hotel and have dinner.

Overnight stay at the reserved hotel.

Midian is the land where Moses spent ten years in voluntary exile before returning to free his people from Pharaoh Ramses II. It is also the homeland of Jethro, Prophet Shuaib (as), who was Moses' father-in-law.

Day 03

Haql Coast, Snorkelling and Georgios G Shipwreck

  • Have breakfast at the hotel in the morning.
  • Assemble in the hotel lobby and get picked up by your guide/driver.
  • 0800h: Proceed to Haql, accompanied by a guide/driver. Haql is a city in the northwest of Tabuk near the head of the Gulf of Aqaba, adjacent to Aqaba across the Jordanian border. The coasts of Egypt and Jordan are visible from Haql.
  • First stop - Al Nakheel Park, located in the main city.
  • Begin your tour by visiting the local park, exploring the area, and enjoying views of the Gulf of Aqaba coast. Egypt and Jordan can be seen from the park.
  • 1130h: Take a boat tour on the sea for 2-3 hours, subject to availability.
  • Go swimming or snorkelling and spot the vibrant coral reefs in crystal-clear water. Gear is available on demand.
  • 1400h: Enjoy lunch by the seaside, with seafood served for lunch.
  • 1500h: Head south of Haql city to see the famous Saudi Titanic, the Georgios G shipwreck. Dubbed by some Saudis as the "Saudi Titanic," this wreck is one of the main tourist attractions in Haql. Georgios G was built in England after the end of the Second World War and was launched in 1958 as a cargo liner owned by several individuals and companies. In 1978, the vessel became stranded on a reef off the Saudi coast in the Gulf of Aqaba, an area that is now an important part of NEOM's marine conservation zone.
  • 1700h: Free time for pictures. Enjoy tea or coffee with snacks near the sea.
  • Enjoy the sunset experience by the seaside.
  • 1800h: Return to the vehicle and drive to Tabuk.
  • 2000h: Arrive in Tabuk.
  • Finish the tour and continue your onward journey home.
