Pico Mountain Trek
- Meet with your tour guide at Madalena and drive to the starting point of Mount Pico, the highest active volcanic mountain of Portugal, which is currently dormant.
- Begin with the trek fom the starting point of Mount Pico and enjoy the breathtaking scenary.
- Trek through the volcanic pits, craters and cones, an eruptive fissure, pyroclastic deposits and fumaroles and wander through the only alpine habitat of the Azores.
- Arrive at the top of the mountain, have a picnic lunch, and enjoy the view of the region's four Islands, namely Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge and Faial.
- Descend from the mountain and watch the beautiful sunset.
- Travel back to your accommodation in Madalena and relax.
