Day 01

Al-Waba Crater Hike and BBQ Camp Experience

• 07:00 am: Meet your tour guide at your hotel in Jeddah.
• 07:30 am: Drive to Al-Waba Crater. The journey takes around 4-5 hours.
• 12:30 pm: Arrive at the crater area and enjoy drinks and snacks.
• 02:00 pm: Start hiking down into the crater. The hike takes around 2-3 hours.
• 04:00 pm: Visit the inside of the unique crater, click photographs, and begin hiking back to the camp.
• 06:00 pm: Enjoy a traditional barbecue dinner at the open camp.
• 07:00 pm: Set up a bonfire and enjoy the view while drinking tea or coffee.
• 08:00 pm: Drive back to your hotel in Jeddah.

Know before you go

• It takes a person 45-60 minutes to go to the bottom of the crater. This crater is very slippery, and it is hard for people to come back up to the surface. To climb back up, it takes approximately 60-90 minutes. There is some mobile phone signal within the crater, and the site receives very few visitors, even over weekends.
