Grand Peterhof Palace and Lower Garden Visit
- Meet your tour guide at the pick-up point and travel to Peterhof Palace, a series of palaces and gardens located in Saint Petersburg, commissioned by the Russian Emperor Peter I as a direct response to the Palace of Versailles by Louis XIV of France.
- Walk through the luxurious enfilade of state rooms and living quarters in the Baroque style, and along the alleys of Peterhof, through parks and gardens with exotic plants, and past the fountains. All this was created over two centuries by many talented architects, artists, sculptors, masters of landscape art, and thousands of serfs and working people.
- Learn historical anecdotes and little-known facts about the palace.
- Visit the rooms that have been converted into museums and are filled with art.
- Marvel at the opulent ornamentation of rooms such as the White Dining Room, the Throne Room, and Merchant's Hall. You will see the full solemnity and grandeur of the panorama of the Grand Cascade, as well as many silver jets, sparkling gilded sculptures, and the soaring, powerful water pillar
