Begin the morning with a visit to Al-Kathiri Palace and a walk through the old streets of Seiyun. Continue to Tarim, one of Hadramout’s historic cultural centres, and visit the impressive Al-Mihdar Mosque before exploring the old town.
Continue to Aynat, known for its traditional architecture and distinctive historic domes, before returning to Seiyun.
Overnight in Seiyun.
Leave Seiyun and head towards Shibam Hadramout, the legendary “Manhattan of the Desert”. Explore the famous mud-brick city and its surrounding landscape before continuing deeper into Wadi Doan.
Visit Al-Hajjarain and other traditional villages along the valley, discovering the distinctive architecture and quiet rhythm of local life. Continue to Hayd Al-Jazeel and watch the sunset over the dramatic valley.
Overnight in Wadi Doan.
Wake up to views over Wadi Doan and spend the morning exploring the surrounding villages. Visit Buqshan Palace and discover more of the valley’s traditional settlements and mud-brick architecture. Meet a local honey producer and learn about Hadrami Sidr honey, one of the region’s most famous products. Enjoy a scenic drive through Wadi Doan with time for photography and village visits before returning to Seiyun.
End the journey with a farewell dinner with the local team. Overnight in Seiyun.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and some free time in Seiyun depending on the flight schedule.
Transfer to Seiyun Airport for your return flight to Cairo, bringing your journey through the ancient cities and villages of Hadramout to an end.
