Muscat City Tour and Old Muscat Highlights
- Get picked up from your hotel in Muscat and meet your tour guide.
- Visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the most beautiful and extravagant modern mosques in the world. It is one of the largest mosques in the Persian Gulf and the only mosque in Oman open to people of all beliefs.
- Spend time at the National Museum of Oman, which showcases the nation's heritage from the earliest human settlement on the Oman Peninsula some two million years ago to the present day.
- Check out the Royal Opera House, Oman's premier venue for musical arts and culture.
- Travel to Old Muscat, a small bay on Muscat's eastern side. Old Muscat is Oman's original capital. Overlooking the Gulf of Oman and framed by rugged mountains, this old city is steeped in Arabian charm and offers many of Muscat's must-see sights.
- Visit the Sultan Palace, also known as Al Alam Palace, one of Sultan Qaboos' six royal residences located in Muscat.
- Go shopping in Mutrah Souq, a long-running, old-fashioned bazaar featuring household goods, clothing, spices, antiques, and more.
